Washing Wool Breast Pads:

When needed, wash by hand in lukewarm water with mild hair shampoo, alternating with LANACare 20% Lanolin-Soap. LANACare’s lanolin-replenishing soap has a much higher lanolin content than most other wool-washes and will keep your pads feeling soft and soothing.

You only need to wash your breast pads when the center starts go get hard. Try breaking up the dried milk using your fingers then wash using the instructions listed above.

Washing Hemp Breast Pads:

For hemp to reach its full aborabancy you must first wash them in hot water 4-5 times using a mild detergent. After the hemp is primed you only need to wash them as needed with your other laundy on cold, warm or hot.

If all you have to wash on hot are your breast pads we recommend using the quick prep method. See below.

Quick Prep:

You boil them for 20 mins and while they are boiling you add a small amount of Dawn Original dish soap. After the 20 min you must rinse, rinse, and rinse again to remove all of the soap. Then you need to repeat the cycle until you have completed your 4-5 washes. After you have primed them you can wash them as needed with your other laundry on cold, warm or hot.
